Vestibular training Services can be applied to physical/occupational therapy. We can help with the goal of independence by enhancing every day skills to create a better quality of life. Spinning techniques have been known to relieve stress in people. The non-invasive equipment allows for your vestibular system to become activated in a safe setting. The training techniques and methods can be slow or fast. Spinning has been shown to increase your proprioception of your body to your surroundings and increase your situational awareness.
Vestibular training focuses on active training of your vestibular system by means of stimulating using the midline cross (activates both sides of the brain) to increase your balance, proprioception (tracking body awareness) and increase your spatial awareness. Vestibular Training Services equipment and training can help in increasing your reaction time and decision making abilities. Even slow rotation can help improve your balance and cognitive abilities.
Vertigo and dizziness can be a problem for all of us. The loss of balance can inhibit normal every day motions and activities. You would think that spinning would only make these issues worse; however, the opposite may be true. Slow spinning can help a person become habituated to moving their head rather than keeping the head still which exacerbates vertigo or dizziness.

Sheila Thelen has received approval from the United States Patent and Trademark Office for her innovative new patent for a Vestibular Training Apparatus and Method of Use. This patent claims a machine, and method of using the machine to conduct the vestibular training pioneered by Ms. Thelen. The Patent Office has confirmed what Ms. Thelen’s customer already knew, the vestibular training technology and program offered by Ms. Thelen has never been seen before. Ms. Thelen is very excited to move to the next phase of her business with this important patent protection added.

This video features a person who has experienced a motor vehicle injury
- 12 years post injury.
- Improved his balance 50.95% in 8 minutes. (Calculated by BodiTrak Biometrics mat). We utilize the BodiTrak Biometrics mat for real time analysis of balance on one and two feet with eyes open and eyes closed.
- His balance was better at the end - WITH HIS EYES CLOSED (8 minutes of vestibular) than when we tested at the beginning - with HIS EYES OPEN.
- Came into the training room using a walking stick to help with balance and provide stability. He left the building without a walking stick.
- Note the increase in his vitality, balance and happiness.
